Greetings,
We had what we can only call an explosive year in 2025. We must take a moment to reflect on how God has led us through the various twists and turns. Much like a climber who pauses to look back and see how far he has come, we find ourselves doing the same as we reflect on 2025.

Sermon Transcripts & Smart Edit
SermonAudio is a platform for preaching, whether it be audio or video. But increasingly, the transcript of a sermon is becoming increasingly important. There are a number of reasons why that is. People have always enjoyed having a printed version of a sermon to read, but it is also vital for searching and translation. So, we’ve now built the tools that take transcripts from “nice to have” to truly indispensable.
For some time now, we've been optionally transcribing every sermon uploaded to the site, accurately and privately using Vault AI—our fully local artificial intelligence system. No cloud services. No external exposure. And free for all broadcasters.

Vault Canada
We are building our own data center. We are building our own cloud. And the name of the game for datacenters is redundancy. In 2025, we were able to establish a fully operational Vault site in Canada. Arctic-grade storage for the permanent preservation of sound preaching.
Seems like an awful lot of trouble to be installing physical infrastructure in such a remote location. You may ask—why are we doing this?
First, we believe in preaching. Second, we believe we need to protect preaching. Third, the enemy's weapon of choice is deception to keep the nations in darkness. Fourth, our weapon is the propagation of truth via sound preaching. Fifth, we must pray and keep our powder dry. In other words, we need to protect preaching at all cost.

Cutting the Cord on Nov 7
We took a giant leap in cutting the cord with the cloud on Nov 7 by bringing the final major components of SermonAudio in-house into The Vault: our database, APIs, pipeline, streaming, storage, and even legacy. Every critical component now runs locally, fully under our control.
To be clear, there is still more work to be done to get every last component out of the cloud, but this milestone marks the first time all critical infrastructure can run independently.

Everything Transcribed
Every sermon (of the almost 3 million) and every new sermon have been fully transcribed and is searchable! And it's not simply the raw transcript presented in a single blob of text either. We also take the extra step of formatting the transcript into intelligent paragraphs, not raw machine output. It becomes easy to read, easy to study, and even ready for print.
No one else is doing this at this scale.

UK Parliament Recognition
A Motion recognizing the work of SermonAudio has been tabled and received support in the UK Parliament (the House of Commons). MP Gregory Campbell very kindly made this Motion on the Floor in celebration of our 25th anniversary, thereby bringing it to the attention of the MPs as well as being officially posted on the parliamentary website:

BJU Chapel Opportunity
On December 10, 2025, I had the extraordinary opportunity to address the entire student body of Bob Jones University at one of their chapel services. What does one say in just a few minutes of time allotted to thousands of young people? This was my great question—and prayer. The following article, told in the third person, summarizes what I felt led to share that day.

New Book
As part of our 25th anniversary, we felt it would be appropriate to put down on paper how it all started and how God led us these 25 years—from humble beginnings, through hardships, leading onward to extraordinary opportunities. It is not really the story of SermonAudio, but rather the story of how God can use the nobodies of this world to confound the mighty. That's the story, and I hope it inspires another generation to follow hard after the Lord.

New Film
In addition to publishing a new book, we also managed to produce a mini documentary of The Story of SermonAudio, along with a companion website. What makes this film remarkable is not simply its subject, but its method. Much of it is being crafted through the use of artificial intelligence—a bold experiment in storytelling that mirrors the very tools SermonAudio itself has harnessed for gospel use.
The result is not a marketing piece nor a documentary in the ordinary sense. It is a work of art. A story with a message. In the end, the film is not meant to replace the book, but to introduce it.

Gospel of John — 12 Cities in 12 Months
We re-launched our Gospel of John Project for 2025 in partnership with the Trinitarian Bible Society and have reached 12 cities in 12 months. Each month we mailed out an attractive Gospel of John booklet to 10,000 homes, reaching 120,000 homes by the end of the year. We are praying for fruit that will remain, especially in connection with our open letter to Elon Musk.

25th Anniversary Dinner
2025 marks the 25th anniversary of SermonAudio and we thought it was appropriate to celebrate this milestone with a special anniversary dinner on the campus of Bob Jones University, inviting many of our friends and partners.
I have always considered a profound privilege of mine to make friends with so many wonderful ministries over the years. And I have often felt a sense of responsibility to share that blessing of friendship with others. It gave me great joy to see a spectacular spectrum of ministries represented under one roof that evening: The MLJ Trust, The Crown College, Masters Seminary, Greenville Seminary, Bob Jones University, Answers in Genesis, Ligonier Ministries, Second PCA, IFCA, and the list goes on.

Looking Forward to 2026
As we look forward to 2026, we do so with great expectation. The God who has led us through 2025 will lead us into 2026.
Perhaps this will be the year when the Lord opens to us the windows of heaven and pours us out a blessing where there is not room enough to receive (Mal 3:10). Perhaps this will be the year we can say the Lord turned the captivity of Zion (Psalm 126). Perhaps this will be the year that we enjoy a breath from heaven.
May it be so, Lord Jesus.
