I went to BJU back in ‘92 for only one year, because of a financial reason and I miss it very much. But I am able to hear sermon on this app. and it feels like home. Thank you, Josh, for using your gifts that our Lord Jesus has given you to keep BJU on fire for Him! Keep on keeping on!

Thank you for sharing this message. It was good to see Dr. Bob's zeal for souls is undimmed. He obviously shares Mr. Barton's and Dr. Bob Jones Sr.'s zeal that he spoke about. I am thankful for all those who continue to "keep the chapel platform hot!"

Dr. Mark Minnick, that was masterful exposition Zechariah 10-12. Your emphasis of God not having cast off His people, caused me to rejoice in the Grace of Our God.

I was speaking with my mother today about reformed theology and the reformation. So after our phone conversation, I started pursuing sermon topics at TBC's website and found this chapel service audio. I had not heard this testimony before and man did it fire me up! I praise God for Men that are passionate about God's Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ! Shared the audio link with my mom and I know it will be a blessing to her as it has been to me!

great exposition

Firstborn; because Jesus came forth "out of" GOD and not created! . . Just as a child comes forth out of the mother as the life of the father!

Glad to pray alongside so many beloved brothers and sisters at BJU.

If seeking to understand how God fulfills His promises, then this is a must listen!!

This needs to be preached by all preachers! I prayed for God to prune me & the trials came but the LORD would speak to my heart & teach me in every negative emotion so I could know Him more intimately. Free from every fear now for over 40 years!

Convicting.....

I'm obsessed with heaven, too. All but one of my most loved ones on earth are there, and in my heart I know that is Home. Thank you for this glimpse of home, Dr. Bob.

I went through a period this past spring where I sincerely felt that He had forgotten me or was ignoring my cries. I had no idea that Asaph's Psalm 77 could be so personally encouraging; and it took this sermon for me to SEE it for myself. What a comfort! HE DOES NOT FORGET his children.

... and the comfort He's given me." "The Christian life, lived in the will of God, is a series of waypoints of adversity interspersed with occasions of tranquility; adversity is the norm when you pursue the will of God..." BUT GOD... What an encouragement this sermon is, especially hearing firsthand Dr. Bob's experiences of intense affliction-- always followed by the healing comforts of God.

I listened to this sermon years ago and it was brought to my mind again recently. It has had quite an impact!
