Renewing your Mind
Series Romans
Cliff Cooper emphasizes that as Christians, we have a responsibility to present our bodies and minds as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1). We are called not to conform to the world's standards, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This transformation involves changing from being conformed to the worldly view to being shaped by Christ's perspective. Cooper highlights that this process is ongoing and requires a daily effort to renew our minds through the study and application of God's Word. He encourages believers to seek to know God's will for their lives, not by relying on emotions or intuition, but by submitting their minds to the truth of Scripture.
Cooper argues that understanding God's moral law and the Gospel are essential in discovering His will for our lives. He emphasizes that even as we grow in Christ, we must continually come back to the Word to learn and apply its teachings. Cooper concludes by emphasizing the importance of renewing our minds daily through Bible study and prayer, so that we may be changed into the image of Christ and live a life pleasing to Him.
