Something that happened that
caused a gap between you and the Holy Spirit. It doesn't mean
He leaves you. It means His presence is not
upon you. His anointing is not with you.
The feeling of friendship is not there. You might have a breach
in a relationship between you and your parents. And your parents
may be a little disappointed in you, or not happy with you,
and not giving you what you want, or having that great sweet time
of fellowship, maybe with a spouse. Or a friend or anyone, and that
spirit is the greatest friend you could ever have. And that
spirit is the greatest power there is known to man, because
it is really the communion of the Holy Spirit of God in which
we get to know Christ. We get to know the word. We get
to know everything that God has for us comes through the spirit.
Love, joy, peace. Long-suffering and gentleness,
meekness, faith, goodness, temperance, power, wisdom, understanding,
knowledge, all these things come from God. And it comes from the
Spirit. And when it says that perverseness in therein is a
breach in the Spirit, when you speak the wrong things, the Spirit
doesn't like it. If you ever curse and it comes
out of your mouth, the Spirit gets very grieved with that.
As a matter of fact, in Ephesians 4.30, it says, grieve not. the Holy Spirit of God, whereby
you are sealed unto the day of redemption. We're not supposed
to grieve the Holy Spirit, we're supposed to please the Holy Spirit.
The more of the Holy Spirit you please, the more of God you get.
Can I get an amen? The more of the Holy Spirit you
get, you please God, you obey Him, you love Him, you worship
Him, you pray to Him, you praise Him. Come on now! And you get
them songs that we just sang, you get a little bit of... Going
on inside of you and the spirit gets a little more filled and
a little more filled and a little more filled next thing You know,
you're not depressed. You're not sick. You have fevers gone.
You're feeling pretty fine all because of the spirit, but that
doesn't happen all the time, does it? Some of you say it never
happens and that's your fault because there's a breach and
we need to fix that gap, amen? We need a wholesome tongue, a
healing tongue, a healthy tongue, a helpful tongue. Speaking the
truth in love, speaking the truth of God's holy word brings life. Saying the things of God, you
know God is for you, he's not against you. God wants to bless
you. He doesn't want to curse you.
God wants to fill you. He doesn't want to leave you.
God wants to give and give. It is better to give than receive.
Amen. And God is the giver of all things. God wants to give
you strength. And he wants to give you peace.
And he wants to give you the joy of the Lord. And I'll tell
you right now, Anton, the Bible tells us, and I know that the
joy of the Lord is my strength. And when I don't have the joy,
I know I'm weak. When I'm down, I don't like it.
I don't like to be down. And I know that there's always
a breach going on because of this message that tells us that.
You know, when it says, grieve not the Holy Spirit, how many
things grieve the Holy Spirit? What grieves Him? Think about
it, for let it sink in. What do you do on a daily basis
that grieves the Holy Spirit? Makes the Holy Spirit go. I wish
you wouldn't have said that. I wish they wouldn't have done
that. I wish they wouldn't have acted like that. Yeah, it's all
sin. But think about the things in your life. Don't put it in
a category. Think it personally. What is it that you're doing
that grieves the Holy Spirit? Why are you not experiencing
the fullness of God? Why are you not experiencing
the joy and the peace and the love? There's something going
on that has caused a breach in the communication and the Spirit
of God. Many a preacher hears from God.
And I'll tell you right now, as I was getting this message,
I was praying, God, please fill that breach. I need something
to come in and connect me back up with God. Can I get an amen?
Well, I want you to think about when we cause a breach or a break,
and that life-giving power of God is missing from our lives,
and that spirit of the closeness, of the joy, and the peace that
God gives you. Anybody ever experience that
love, and that joy, and experience that fullness? Amen. Each and
every person in here, the only reason you haven't been filled,
it's because of you. God wants to fill you. God wants to give
you. God wants to be one with you. You understand that? He
wants that. Something's wrong. Something's wrong with you that
you will not submit. You will not obey. You will not. You're
stubborn. You're prideful. The Bible says that if you get
any pride in you, God resists you. He literally pushes you
away and says, no, you're not getting my goodness. No, you're
not getting my joy. No, I got so much good to give
unto you. We think you're going to get it. Humble yourself. Humble
yourself. Come to me. Beg. plead, cry out
to God. What are you, too proud to beg?
Isn't there a song that says, too proud to beg or something
like that? I don't know. But you people are too proud to come
to God and cry out to God. I'm not. I'm like them little
babies in the nest. When the father comes, ah, my
mouth's wide open like, feed me. I need it. And that's the
whole point is I need God. I need the Holy Spirit. I need
him. I want him. I desire him. I don't think about
him and say, you know what? It would be nice. to have the
Holy Spirit. No, I'm like, I had him! Where
is he? Give me! God, please! I'm crying
out to God. David did. The apostles did.
Everyone in the Bible did. And they got filled. Problem
is, is you're too pride, prideful, you're too arrogant, or you're
too stubborn to just do what God says to do. Who do we think
we are? We think, what it's saying is,
I don't need him. I don't need the Holy Spirit.
I'm strong. I got everything I need. We know
we might not say it, but inside our actions show it. And I don't
want that to happen to anybody. You know what I mean? Some people
that went missing the Holy Spirit in your life, not feeling that
connection, it's devastating. They know it. It's horrible.
It's the worst thing. Other people, they don't even
realize it. They go through life not even knowing that they don't
have the Holy Spirit on them. Apostle Paul, when he went into
certain places, he met with believers and was hanging out with them.
And he looked at them and said, you know, brother, have you received the
Holy Spirit since you've been since you've been believed? And
they said, we don't know what you're talking about. He's like, well,
I could tell. I could tell you don't have the
Spirit. I want you to understand why don't you? If I can tell
and others can tell that there's something missing in your salvation,
can I get an amen? I'm not talking about salvation.
I'm talking about the Spirit already being in you, filled
you for the... Spirit of the Lord is upon me.
He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. The good
news, amen. There's joy in that good news. There's praise in the power of
His people. There's worship, true worship
in the true worshipers. Can someone give me an amen today?
This is for real, amen. When the Spirit has you, amen. Amen. Who said awesome? Yeah,
amen. Amen and amen. But the problem
is there's too many people don't even know what I'm talking about.
Huh? Spirit, yeah, I guess I got him.
I guess I got him. I didn't kill my neighbor the
other day when he, my wife cooked bad and I kind of told her it
was okay. I mean, we are missing so much, and I don't, there's
a breach, and we need to repair that breach. The very first time
that, turn with me to Genesis chapter 38, the very first time
in the Bible the word breach is mentioned is in the book of
Genesis, of course, and it's kind of interesting, and I'm
not going to get into the message here, I just want to give it
to you. It's a pretty cool story, in case you haven't heard it
before. It says in verse 27, it says, and it came to pass
in the time of her travail, here's a, Here's Tamar. Tamar, that's
where my wife gets part of her name. Her name is Tamar Lee.
Amen. And Tamar, she has a baby with
her father-in-law. And it's a whole cool story. You got to read it. He didn't
know it was her. She hit herself because she got married to his
son and he died. And then he got married to his
second son and he died. And then he had a third son,
but he was too young to get married. And he said, well, when he gets
older, you can be married to him. And he put her away and
he never gave her a son. I can imagine he said, she's
a death trap. So anyway, she ended up dressing up like a harlot
on the side of the road and met him. And he went in with her,
and she got pregnant. And it's a whole great story.
You got to read it. This book is amazing. This book is better than any
soap opera you'll ever read. And this book is better than
any movie you can ever watch. This book is amazing. I'll never forget
the first time we were reading through our Bibles for the first
time when we first got saved, my wife and I. And I was ahead
of her, and she was behind me. And we were in the book of Genesis.
And I hear her in the other room go, no, what? And I hear her,
she goes, no, like that. And I'm like, I know right where
she's at. The scandal's in this book. It's like, what? Here,
Judah has a relationship with his daughter-in-law. And she
gets pregnant. And he finds out she's pregnant. He's ready to kill her. You harlot,
you hooker. He calls her all kinds of names.
And she gives him his bracelet and his ring that she took from
him and said, here, this belongs to the guy that I'm having the
baby with. And he went. And he went, uh, okay, I guess
you're all right. And here she has twins. I mean,
this story is amazing. But here the twins, look what
happens in verse 27. And it comes to pass in the time
of her travail, that behold, twins were in her womb. And it
came to pass that when she travailed, she's in labor, that one put
out his hand, and the midwife took and bound upon his hand
a scarlet thread, saying, this came out first. And it came to
pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came
out. And she said, how has this? How
have you broken forth? This breach be upon thee. Therefore,
his name is called Perez. And afterwards came out his brother
that had the scarlet thread upon his hand, that his name is called
Zarah. Now, the Bible talks about the scarlet thread of Christ,
the meaning, the blood of Christ. There's a great story. Remind
me one day, I'll preach a message on it, and we get to it. You
can see the scarlet thread from from Abel all the way to Jesus
on the cross. And that scarlet thread is the
blood of Christ. Amen. But there's a whole nother story.
It was a breach birth. You ever hear of that? Ruth,
don't worry about it. You're not going to have that.
Everything's good. I got you all taken care of. I got you prayed
for. Everything's good. And you're
going to have the best delivery. It's only going to hurt like,
ow! And that's it. It's going to be great. It's going to be
great because the Spirit of the Lord is upon you. And so that's
where the breach comes from. When you ever hear a breach baby,
it comes from that, that Perez, he's twins in there and somehow
he turns upside down and sticks his hand, or I'm sorry, Zara
sticks his hand outside the womb. Imagine you're the midwife and
there's a hand comes out. And so he, she ties a thread on it
saying, okay, this is the first one, but then he pulls it back
in and the other one Perez beats him up kind of and comes out
first. And so now you have Phares, and this is the children of Tamar,
who had a kind of a crazy weird relationship with Judah. And
guess who came out of Phares? Jesus Christ. He's the line of
Jesus Christ. There's a whole lot to learn
in this book. But I'll tell you one thing right now, this book
is interesting. You need to read it for yourself. It's so much
going on. But he pulls back and out comes
Phares to breach which Jesus came from. Breach is talked about
many times, and I'm going to go quickly, but you have to turn
there. But in Numbers 14, verse 3 and 4, it says a breach of
promise. God said to Israel, you made me breach my promise
to you because of what you did. In Judges 21, verse 15, it says
a breach in the tribes of Israel. So they were going to wipe out
Dan and one of the tribes, and they said, no, we can't kill
them all because then there would be a breach, a gap. in the tribes
of Israel. 2 Samuel though, let's look at
that. This is interesting. 2 Samuel chapter 6. 2 Samuel
chapter 6. We have a story of Uzzah, Uzzah,
whatever you want to call them. But it's starting in verse 6.
2nd Samuel 6 verse 6, it says, And when they came to Nacon's
threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God and
took hold of it. For the oxen shook it, and the
anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and God smote
him there for his error. And there he died by the ark
of God. And David was displeased because
the Lord had made a breach upon Uzzah and he called the name
of that place Pirazuah, to this day. Here we have a story of
David finally taking over Jerusalem. David's settling up. His house
is settled. Everything's good. And he said,
you know what? We need the ark of God in Jerusalem. So he gets a bunch
of people. And he goes and he gets the ark
where it was at in someone's house. And he's having a party.
He's got musicians. He's having a great time. He
puts it on a wagon. And he starts carrying it back
to Jerusalem. And here, the wagon, the ark
of God, the ark of the covenant, is on the back of a wagon. And
it goes over the threshing floor, and it's going like this. Like
that. And it starts to shake. And the
ark of God looks like it might fall. So Uzzah, in his good intentions,
puts his hand on it to level it, to keep it steady. And God
breaks forth and causes a breach between him and Uzzah and the
people of Israel, and he kills him. And David's like, and that
was David's friend. David's like, what happened?
And it says that Dave in verse nine, David was afraid of the
Lord that day. And he said, how shall the ark of the Lord come
to me? See, it's a different thing between being afraid of
God and having the fear of God. Being afraid of God is one thing.
And here, I just want to say this briefly, is that when you
have a type in the Bible, it's very, very important to God.
Types in the Bible are very important. Moses wasn't allowed to go into
the promised land because he smoked the rock twice. You guys
know that story? If you don't know that story,
you got to look it up and come to me. I'll tell you later. But
Moses' first time, people needed water. God said, go to the rock. I will stand up on the rock,
upon the rock. God's standing there, visible,
can't see him. And he said, now hit the rock.
So Moses smites the rock. So what he's doing, he's hitting
God. It's a type of the Jews and the law smiting Christ. And
out of the rock came water and it fed the people. They had plenty of water for
a while. And it happened again a little later down. And Moses
went to God. And God said, OK, Moses, do the
same thing before, but just ask the rock this time. Just ask
the rock, and he'll give you life. It's a total picture of
Jesus. He's crucified on the cross.
But now he's risen, all we have to do is ask, and we can receive
eternal life. And so it was a perfect picture,
but Moses got angry, because all the Jews were making him
upset. And so he hit the rock twice. And the water came out,
but man, God was not happy. And so God said, because of this,
Moses, you're never going in the Promised Land. You're going
to die on this side of the river. So learn your Bibles, a lot of
cool stories. But here we have the Ark of God. The Ark of the Covenant, which
represents something, represents the Word of God. It has everything
in it, and we'll talk about that another time. But here, you don't
touch the word of God. No man is allowed to touch the
Bible. That's why it's so important that no man touches this book.
This is the holy book. It's a spiritual book. It's inspired
by God himself. Anyone that tells you it's not
inspired, the Bible didn't tell them that. They learned it somewhere.
Some pinhead, some professor somewhere told them that. The
Bible tells you that it's alive. The Bible says everything in
it is inspired. The Bible says it's breathed
by God. The Bible says in Hebrews 4.12 that the Word of God is
alive, it's quick, and it's powerful. Amen? Sharper than any two-edged
sword, piercing, dividing, asunder, soul, spirit, joint, marrow.
And it is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the
heart. This book is alive. When you're reading it, you're
not reading it, it's reading you. This is the very Word of
God. God says, this man will I look,
he that trembleth as a pawn of a contrite spirit and trembleth
at my word. We need to realize what this
book is and give it the reverence that it's due. But man comes
along and says, well, this King James Bible is hard to read,
and so we're going to fix it. And puts his hand on it, and
then you got the NIV, and you got the ESV, and you got every
other V, and you got the non-inspired versions, and you got all this
junk out there, because man puts their hands on it. You know what
the man's saying? Same thing as I said, it needs
my help. I'm telling you right now, the Word of God doesn't
need our help. The word of God is eternal, powerful. It's God.
You can't separate God from his word. That's why Jesus said,
I am the word of God. I come forth to show you who
God is. Great stuff, but that's not the message, really. But
here we have a breach that broke forth. God was with David. God was with everything. But
David did the wrong thing. What he did was, the Bible tells
us, and David knew, you're not allowed to put the ark. Only
four people can carry that ark. Only four priests from the Levites
can carry that ark. And that's only through a golden
pole, and they carry it on their shoulders. Amen? Not on a cart.
Do you understand? And no one's allowed to touch
it. David did everything wrong. And because he did wrong, and
because he allowed his friend to touch it, act like it wasn't
what it was, God killed him. And that's another story. But
in 2 Kings chapter 12, verse 5, it says, a breach in the house
of God. It says that the Bible talks and you go back and read
it yourself. It says that there is the house of God was falling
down, the house of God had holes in it. You know, we should and
it needed to be fixed. You know, the story, the purpose
of all these things is pretty simple, that if there's a break
and there's a gap, you ready for this really deep truth? Ready? Fix it. It's that simple. If you got a problem, fix it.
That's men's problems. We think we can fix everything.
But if a woman's involved, you can't fix any of it, so don't
even try. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I'm not saying it's
a bad thing. We just don't have a clue. We don't know how. We
got the book. We got the book, and we're still
reading it, but the truth of the matter is we can fix things.
We can fix leaks, can't we, Anton? We can fix roofs, can't we, Joe?
We can fix a good dinner, can't we, Tony? But we can't fix problems
in people's lives sometimes. But here, one thing you have
to realize is that there is a problem. It's not like AA. The first thing
you have to admit there's a problem. It's kind of like the gospel.
The very first thing you have to admit that there's a problem.
The problem is sin is in you and there's a breach between
you and God. And God and you are not connected. And if you
die without that connection, you're going to hell. That's
kind of what we have to realize, right? Before we can get saved.
But God gave us his son to be the one, the bridge, to be the
one to connect us, to be the one that's there for us, to grab
us, to get a hold of us like the lost sheep. You know what
I mean? But you can't fix something if you don't realize it's broken.
And that's what I want us to think tonight. It's the breach
in a spirit. Too many people don't even realize
that the Spirit of God is not connected with them. I'm not
talking about salvation. I'm talking about relationship.
Isn't that what we talk about as Christians? It's not religion.
It's a? It's not religion. It's a? Yeah, it's what we always
say. It's a relationship. How's your
relationship? It is a relationship. It is between
you and God. And the only way you could be
connected, God's in heaven through the Holy Spirit. And when the
Holy Spirit's connected with you and you're connected with
God, whoo, you know it. Hallelujah. But when the Holy
Spirit's grieved and backs up some and goes, no, no, no, I'm
not being part of that. You keep on going a day, a week,
a month. years, and people never realize. So I'm here to tell you, you
need to realize there's a problem, there's a gap, and you need to
fix it. Can I get an amen? Amen. Well, it tells us in 2
Kings that there's a breach in the house of God and they need
to repair it. But it tells us in Nehemiah chapter 6, turn to
Nehemiah with me. Nehemiah is a great book. Nehemiah
chapter 6, what happened was Israel was broken down, I mean
Israel, Jerusalem was broken down, walls were down, all this,
and Nehemiah was the cupbearer of the king, and God gave him
favor with the king, and the king saw him all depressed, and
said, what's the matter there? Nehemiah said, my Jerusalem,
my city, it's destroyed, the walls are broken down, all enemies,
people come in, and so the king said, listen, I'm gonna give
you a bunch of money and some men, you go and fix it. Really? You're
going to let me do that? And he was so happy. And the
whole story about this, you got to go and read it for yourself. This
book is amazing. If you don't know these stories, man, get
in it. This book is amazing. Start reading. You'll blow your mind. This book
is awesome. People that don't have something
to preach, I got a lot to preach. I just want to make sure it's
what God wants me to preach. Oh, man, I could tell you story after
story after story. I could sit here for days and tell you things
that God did in my life. I hope you have those stories
too. And you need the Holy Spirit. But look in Nehemiah chapter
six, it says in verse one, it says, now it came to pass when
Samballot and Tobiah and Gershom, the Arabian and the rest of our
what? The rest of our what? Enemies,
they heard that I had built the wall. and that there was no breach
left therein, though at that time I had not yet set the doors
and the gates. The breach of the Holy Spirit
of God has been repaired. The breach between man and God
has been repaired. Nehemiah, you read it for yourself,
he gets guys and people coming and they're bricking it up and
they're bricked up. There you go. I'm repaired. There was a breach between my
mic and that's what it is. You got a breach. What do you
do? Fix it. You got a breach with God. Think about it. Think
about the Holy Spirit of God. The one who loves you. The one
who wants to hear from you. The one who wants to be with
you. The one who's like your mother. See, we have God the
Father, we have Jesus Christ, the Son who is also the Husband.
We have the Holy Spirit who is like the Mother. We have a whole
family in God. Jesus, you're complete in Him.
He's awesome. But the Holy Spirit is sent to us as our Comforter.
He's sent to us as the One that loves us and comforts us and
takes care of us. And what happens is He's very
sensitive. You know why? Because His first name is Holy. His second
name is Spirit. You know, I'm teasing, but He's
Holy. And that's the problem, is you
got these charismatics, you got these people, and they smoke,
and they curse, and they gamble, but yet they speak in tongues.
I got the gift of the Holy Spirit, it's all phony, it's all baloney,
do you understand? What it is, is the spirit of
the living God gives life, the abundant life, the things that
God knows you need. What do you need right now? What
are you lacking? What is the, seems like there's
something missing between you and God. You have to fix it. And it's an easy way to fix,
and I'll get to that in a minute. But Nehemiah goes back and he
spends years building the walls back up to Jerusalem. See, without
walls, you're open to all the enemy. And the enemy is going
to hear about it when you start fixing things with God. The enemy
is going to hear about it when you start repairing your life
with God. The enemy is not going to like
it. Because the enemy wants your walls down. The enemy doesn't
want you cut off. The enemy doesn't want you powerful.
Do you understand? Can I get an amen? The enemy doesn't want
you to have joy. The enemy doesn't want you to
have peace. You kidding me? The enemy loves
it when we're on the seas. And we're like the apostles going,
Jesus, wake up! Don't you care that I'm dying?
And he gets up and says, where's your faith? The enemy hates it
when they hear that the walls are closed. I'm here to tell
you, you got enemies. And your enemy doesn't want you to fix
it. What's stopping you? What is stopping us from building
those walls up, from building our relationship back up? How
many people wish you had a better relationship with certain people
in your life? If you're a parent, you know what I'm talking about.
We have seven children. We have 29 grandchildren. We
have four great-grandchildren. Got a couple of dogs that are
better than all the rest of them. I'm kidding, I'm joking. No one's
better than them two right there. Those two girls. But there's
a lot of them I don't get to see. We don't get to talk too
much. You know what I mean? You wish your relationship was
better. Guess what? Nothing's gonna happen unless
you try to fix it. The problem is we get prideful and we're
like, well, they should call me. That isn't what Christians
do. Christians do the calling. Christians
do the texting. Christians write the cards. But
they don't do that to me. I know. Probably because you're
grumpy and miserable. Probably because you don't have
the Holy Spirit of God in you. Every time they see you, you yell at them.
Parents, don't yell at your children every time you see them. Especially
if they live in your house, yell at them all you want. That's
a little bit of a joke. But when they come to visit,
don't harp on them. Because they won't want to come to visit again.
So when the Holy Spirit shows up, don't sit there and give
them all your demands of what you want. Don't sit there and
say, hey, listen, I need money, and I need this, and I need this.
Can you do this for me? You know, my car's broken, my dog's sick,
and can I do that? No, you know, that isn't how
you start a good relationship. What you do is, I love you. I
thank you. It's so good to see you. It's
so good to be with you. I want to be with you more. I
love you more in love, in joy, in peace, and build that bond
up with the Holy Spirit of God, because everything that He has
for you is everything you've been desiring anyway. And then
when you guys are walking with, talking with one another, and
when the Spirit of God is going good, then He already knows what
you need. And He'll udge you and say, hey,
how about that? Well, yeah, Lord, you know what
I need. Well, how about this? The next
thing you know, God's blessing you and God's filling these gaps
up all over the place. It's all about the walls. And
Nehemiah, he's got a breach in the walls and they must be repaired. And I want to ask you a question.
Do we repair the walls in our lives? Do we repair or do we
care that it's broken? Do we care that it's even things
are missing? There's been a breach in our
relationship. There's been a big breach between the relationship
of Israel and God. Israel and God, there's been a breach, a
big one. There's been a big breach between God and man because of
sin. Amen? Because of man's sin. Isaiah
59 verse 2. Brian, if you could put that
up. Isaiah 59 2, it says, your iniquities, it says, but your
iniquities have separated between you and your God and your sins
have hid his face from you. Ready? Even gets worse. That
he will not hear you. See, if you don't build this
relationship back with God, all those prayers, they're not even
being heard. People don't realize that, that the Bible tells us
that in Psalm 66 verse 18, if you got that one, Brian, it says,
if I regard iniquity in my heart, that means if I don't care about
fixing it, if I don't care that I'm doing what grieves the Holy
Spirit, If I know that I shouldn't be doing it, but I'm doing it
anyway, it says, if I regard nickering my heart, please say
that loud and ready, the Lord will not hear me. He won't even
hear you. You ever been that way with someone?
I don't even want to hear them. You ever been that way? Like, you
can call, I don't want to hear you. At this moment in time,
I'm mad, I'm not happy, I just don't want to hear them. There's
certain people that have voices I don't want to hear. Her name
was Calamari Harris. I'm glad I don't have to hear
her anymore. Sorry, that was for your benefit. That was for
you, Trump team. All right. That was for team
Trump. But there's certain people that have voices that annoy you. God doesn't want to hear your
prayers if you regard iniquity. What's in your heart today that
you need to get right with God? What is it? Don't tell me. Tell
him. Do something about it. And I'm
gonna tell you about this is that, you know, when there's
been a breach in the spirit, our prayers are not heard or
answered. Our peace is dried up and our
joy is disappearing and our love seems so distant from us. When
Israel would sin against God, they would murmur and complain.
And I'm here to tell you, you wanna grieve the Holy Spirit,
murmur and complain. No one, no, excuse me. Brian, why is
this not on? I know. Give it to me. Give me
full power. Power, Scotty. Scotty, give me
some power. If you murmur or complain, no
one wants to hear it. Is this on? Nobody wants to hear
your complaining. Yeah, well then stop doing it. Because many of you that said
amen are the ones that do it. Stop complaining, stop murmuring,
because what you're doing, what you're doing without knowing
it, is you're telling God, you're not good enough. The blood of
Jesus Christ and the sacrifice of your son is just not good
enough. I want more. And that's what
the children of Israel did. You can turn that off if you
want to, I don't really care, or turn it down. But when your complaints
and your murmurs, it grieves God, and God was angry, and God
would disturb. Look at Exodus 32. This is a
great, great thing. And the good thing is I want
you to see this. Exodus 32. Exodus chapter 32,
starting in verse 10. Well, starting in verse nine,
I should say, it says, and the Lord said unto Moses, I have
seen this people and behold, it's a stiff neck knucklehead
people. I added knucklehead for Joe.
Cause every Wednesday, when we give praises, he always says,
I'm a knucklehead, but God loves me. You got to come on Wednesday
night and hear the best praises of your life. Every single person
praises God. You know what they praise God
for, Christine? For their salvation, for the word of God, for the
church. There's so much to be thankful for. Look what it says.
And it says in verse 10, now God is talking to Moses. Now,
therefore, Brian, you turn this down. It says, now, therefore,
let me alone. that my wrath may wax hot against
them, and that I may consume them, and I will make of thee
a great nation." Get the picture of what's going on. Israel was
a complaining bunch of people. Israel got brought out of Egypt
by a strong and mighty hand. 10 plagues on Egypt, he parts
the Red Sea, he puts food from heaven, he puts a fire pillar
in front of him, smoke over top of him, he takes care of him
water out of the rock, he beats up their enemies and they complain
and complain and complain when finally it's all I can stands
and I can't stands no more. Popeye, great man of God by the
way, I'm kidding. He says, God says, now let me
alone. Let me alone, Moses, that I may
destroy them. Because God gets fed up and look
what happens in verse 11. Moses besought the Lord his God
and said, Lord, why does thy wrath wax hot against thy people,
which thou has brought forth out of the land of Egypt with
great power and with a mighty hand? Wherefore, why should the
Egyptians speak and say, for mischief did he bring them out,
to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the
face of the earth? To turn, turn your fierce wrath,
and repent of this evil against thy people. Remember Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob, thy servants, to whom thou swearest by thy
own self. and said unto them, I will multiply
your seed as the stars of heaven and all this land that I have
spoken of, will I give it to your seed? And they shall inherit
it. Look in verse 14. And the Lord
repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
Thank you, God. No, listen, I'm not Israel. If
I was all the Jews, I'd say, thank you, Lord, for Moses. Because
if it wasn't for Moses, they would have been all destroyed.
See, when you hear, there's so much to talk about, and sometimes
I get excited and I want to talk about it, but people talk about
the elect and the predestined and they think this. No. Listen
to me, Israel was the elect of God. And God said, I'll wipe
them all out. I'll start over with you. God doesn't need you.
God doesn't need us. Only in His mercy and His grace
does He allow us into having the covenant between Him and
us, the peace that God gives, the love that God gives, the
salvation that God gives. It's a gift, amen? It's a great
gift. It's an amazing gift. It's an
awesome gift. And all you've got to do to really
be happy with it is have gratitude. and be thankful, don't complain,
don't murmur. But Moses, he stood in the gap. He stood in the breach. God was
ready to kill them all, and Moses stepped in. I'll tell you what
now, if you're praying, if you're a praying person, and I know
you're praying for your family, and so am I though, you're not
alone. I know you're praying for your wife and family, Anton,
so am I, you're not alone. I know you guys are praying and
I pray for each and every one of you every single day. And
I go before presence of God and I beg him to help you to save
your children, to save your families, save your marriages. And I'm
here to tell you, it's not me that's doing it, it's the spirit
of God that's in me that's doing it. Because I'll be honest with
you, I could find some other things to do than spend three
hours talking to God about you. And talking about God about people
that won't even show up for church. Talking to God and asking God,
please don't destroy them, Lord. Please don't destroy them. Please
don't let the devil get their marriage. Please don't let the
devil get their children. Please don't let the... Because
someone has got to care enough to stand in the gap between your
friends and God, or your family and God, or your children and
God. Because God's wrath is real,
and God's anger can be broken forth, and the worst thing that
could ever happen is that God just leave you alone. He doesn't
have to do anything bad to us. Just leave you alone. You're
fighting. You're struggling to go out on
your own. You want to do what you want to do. And these rules
in church, it's like a jacket that doesn't fit right. You just
want to take it off. You don't like that. I have to go to church
on Sunday. I have to go to church on Sunday
night and Wednesday night and then Bible study and a bunch
of murmur and little babies. All that God's done for you and
you complain. All of us do. Not just you, we
all do. We complain, oh, I gotta do this.
Oh, I gotta go out and hand a gospel track out. What'd he do? Everything he did on the cross
for you, and you can't do anything that he asks you to do without
complaining? When I ask my children to do something, you know what
the best thing as a parent? You'll know when they say, okay,
mom, okay, dad. How often does that little boy,
when you tell him to clean his room, say, golly gee, mom, I
can't wait to do it. Or when you tell your daughter,
no, you're not allowed to do that. And she says, okay, mom,
because I know you know best. But what if she did? What if
they did? How would that make you feel?
Party time, it's the best day ever. Well, we're God's children. And when he asks us to do stuff,
we complain. I'm here to tell you right now,
When we have so many problems in our life, the answer to every
single problem is your relationship with Jesus. The answer to every
single problem, finances, health, peace, relationship, you name
it, the country, the nation, the president, the government,
the church, your brothers and sisters, everything, Jesus Christ. but yet he's the one that we
go to probably the least. I wanna hurry up with this, but
it says in Ezekiel 22 verse 30. Brian, you put that up? In Ezekiel chapter 22 verse 30,
it's a great verse. And it says, and I sought for
a man among them that should make up the hedge. and stand
in the gap before me, before the land, that I should not destroy
it. But I found none. Let me tell you one of the saddest
verses in the Bible, if you ask me. God's looking for someone
to stand in the gap, in the breach. All of us have grieved the Holy
Spirit in one way or the other. And at times we're good with
God and we have that relationship and it's good. But how long does
that last? and maybe you're here today, and maybe your love is
being, you can't find it, or your joy is drying up, or your
peace seems like it's hiding, and you don't know why. I'm here
to tell you because there's a breach in the spirit. He loves us. He loves us, and he's a jealous
God. He doesn't want a part time.
He doesn't want a once in a while time. He wants all the time. He loves you with an everlasting
love. And all He asks us to do is to
be grateful, thankful, talk about Him, praise Him. Why, for Him? No, that others would come to
know Him. That others would be saved from hell. God gets no
pleasure of someone going to hell. God doesn't send anybody
to hell. People send themselves to hell.
I'm here to tell you this, that God so loved you that He gave
His only begotten Son. that you, whosoever believes
in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And Jesus said, I am the life.
I'm the way, I'm the truth, and I'm your life. And He says, and
I'm your abundant life. I will give you so much that
you'll never have need of. He said, the water you drink
that I'll give you, you'll never thirst again. The food that I'll
give you, you'll never hunger again. I give unto you, no man,
no thing on this earth can ever replicate. You can't get it anywhere.
You can't get it from money. You can't get it from fame. We
can't get it anywhere but from God. And we complain and we murmur
when we have broken relationships with the Holy Spirit of God.
If we would just listen and do what He said to do. The first
thing you can do is forgive someone that you have a problem with.
That's the biggest thing. Jesus said, if you don't forgive,
I won't forgive you. So please work on that. I'm going
to give you a couple of verses and I'm going to finish. Jesus
Christ. Jesus Christ. You know Him? You
heard of Him? He's the one that was sent. He came down to stand
in the gap between God and man. Jesus Christ, the third person,
the second person of the Trinity, God the Father, God of His Word,
and God His Holy Spirit, these are one. Hero Israel, Lord our
God is one God. And God spoke to Himself when
He said, let us make man in our image, in our likeness. Let them
have dominion, let them have this, let them have this. And
then Satan comes in and destroys it. Now sin is broken between
the relationship with God and man, so God makes a way to cover
that sin. Sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice.
And then finally Jesus steps into the picture. And Jesus the
God-man, 100% God and 100% man. How that works? I don't know,
but He's 200%. I don't know how it works, but He is. He's 100%
God and He's 100% man. And only He can reach into heaven
and put His hand on the shoulder of His Father, and reach down
into sinful man and put His hand on the shoulder of sinful man,
and bring them both together. in His body, in His blood, in
His sacrifice, because He gave His life for us, He suffered
for us, He bled, He cried out, Father, forgive them! They know
not what they do. And He washes you and cleanses
you. And all your sins through Christ
are forgiven. And God the Father opens His
heart to you. He opens His home to you. He
opens His love to you. He opens everything that He has.
And He gives you His Spirit as the gift of the Holy Spirit of
God. to be with you forever. He'll never leave you. He'll
never forsake you. Just remember this, God, the
Father is in heaven. Jesus Christ, the Son is at his
right hand, Father, right hand Spirit, right hand of the Father,
but only the Holy Spirit's here. And the Holy Spirit's here for
a purpose and a reason, many of them, to get you prepared and
get you ready to meet the Father, meet the Son for the marriage.
And He loves you. And everything He tells you to
do is for our good. Anything he tells you to do, it's for
your good, amen? It tells us in 1 John 2 verse 1, it says,
my little children, these things have I written unto you that
you sin not. But if any man sin, listen to
this, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the
righteous. We have a lawyer. We have a lawyer
and advocate. Jesus Christ is the one who stands
in the gap. When you sin, he steps in and
says, Father, I got it. I took care of it. Imagine the
Father sitting there, sitting on the throne. He's got to judge
sin. He's got to judge it. That's
who He is. And you sin. He's got to judge you. And Jesus,
your advocate, steps in between the gaps and says, Father, it's
okay. I take care of it. Okay. Anything the Son asks, the Father
gives. And Jesus Christ is my advocate.
It says in Romans 8 verse 34, it says, Christ stands at the
right hand of the Father who makes intercession for us. intercedes on our behalf. It
says in 1st Timothy 2.5, there is one God and one mediator between
God and man, the man, Jesus Christ. We have a mediator. We have an
intercessor. We have an advocate. You understand
who he is? He steps in and he is the one. He is the one and
the only way. That's why he said, I am the
way, I am the truth, and I am the life. No man comes to the
Father but by me. We must come to the cross. We
must come to the sacrifice. We must come to the blood. We
must come to the atonement. We must, we must, we must come
to Jesus Christ. So that his sacrifice and his
blood can take away all your sin. And until when that sin's
taken away, you're saved, but you don't have eternal life until
the Holy Spirit comes in. The Holy Spirit can't come in
when there's sin. Your sins and iniquity have separated you between
you and your God. But once the blood has come upon
you, there's no more sin. And the Holy Spirit comes in
and He seals you to the day of redemption. And He lives and
dwells in you, with you. And He speaks to you. He walks
with me and He talks with me. You know the song? And He tells
me I'm His own. And the voice I hear falling
on my ear, oh man, it's beautiful, it's sweet. It's like no one
else's voice. The voice of the Almighty Holy
God that tells me it's gonna be okay. I got you, it's gonna
be okay. Yes, I know you're going through
a tough time, but I'm gonna be with you, it's gonna be okay.
The person that you're praying for, intercede for them, pray
for them. Be, stand in the gap for them.
The person that hurts you, stand in the gap for them. The person
that you say, I hate that person, stand in the gap for them. Be
that person. So the Holy Spirit of God can
pour out his spirit on you. It tells us, Ms. Kira, could
you come up please? It tells us in Hebrews 7 and
chapter 7 and chapter 9, that we have a great high priest.
a great High Priest who ever liveth to make intercession for
us. If we will come to Him, if we
will confess to Him that we have grieved Him, our sins have separated
us from Him. What is it that the Holy Spirit
of God is talking to you right now about? What is it? You know
it came to your mind. You know it did. Because the
Holy Spirit, that's His job. The Spirit of Truth. The Spirit
of Truth. Whatever it is. give it to the
Lord, talk to Him. If we confess our sins, He is
faithful and He's just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness. That means anything. Right now,
with your heads bowed and your eyes closed, I want you to think
about this. Repair the breach, restore, rebuild,
renew the relationship with your God. Don't worry about the relationships
with your children or your family or workers. Worry about the relationship
that can restore every other relationship. The relationship
between you and your Lord, your God. The Holy Spirit is here,
the Holy Spirit's in you. If he's speaking to you and he
spoke to you about something, move. Don't sit there and do
nothing. Show the Holy Spirit that you
mean it. You're not a hearer of the word, but a doer. Come
to the Lord right now in prayer. Call upon Him and ask Him to
forgive. Ask Him to forget. Ask Him to repair the breach,
restore the love and the joy and the fellowship of the Spirit.
Ask Him to come in. To your heart, maybe you don't
know Him. Maybe you never had a real relationship
with Him. Well, right now is the time.
He's knocking at your door. You have got to let him in. You've
got to open the door by trusting and having faith in him. The
door of your heart, it's your door. He won't bust it down.
He'll just knock gently. If you hear his knock, open the
door and he will come in to you and he will sup with you and
you with him and you'll have relationship with the almighty
God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you were to die today,
do you know for sure, 100% sure, that you'd go to heaven? If you
don't know for sure, then right now is your time. It's your time
to obey the Holy Spirit of God and restore the relationship.
Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord Jesus shall
be saved. Would you pray with me right
now? I will stand in the gap between you and God, and I will
pray for you, but you've got to receive it, you've got to
believe it, and you've got to call upon the Lord. Father, I
pray, Lord Jesus, We love You. We believe in You. We receive
You, Lord. You are our Lord. You are our
God. You are our King. You're my husband, my best friend.
You're everything to me. Lord, I love You. You've forgiven
me and given me life. I pray for those now, that person. That soul that's nearest hell,
that soul that if they die today, they will go to a certain hell
because they don't have You. I pray for them. As you cried
on the cross, Father, forgive them. They know not what they
do. I pray Holy Spirit's power to be upon whoever that is out
there today that is stubborn. I pray that they'd put the stubbornness
away and trust in the Lord and believe with all their heart
and call upon His name. In the name of Jesus. Say His
name, say Jesus. Jesus, save me. Save me a sinner. Wash me in
Your own blood. Make me Your own. Come into me,
Jesus. Holy Spirit of God, I need You. I desire You. I love You. I desire You more than life itself. Jesus, save me. Jesus, Wash me,
Jesus, forgive me, and give me the gift of the Holy Spirit of
God. And help me in my life to walk
with you, to talk with you, to be filled with your spirit and
your power. Teach me, Lord, that which I
need to know, and I will be grateful, and I will be thankful, and I
will worship you, and I will praise you, and I will give thanks
unto the Lord our God. In Jesus' precious name, and
all God's people said, Amen.
